Marc Sundermann, Senior Fellow (LinkedIn Profile): He has worked for Bertelsmann SE & Co. KGaA since January 2012, when he joined the Bertelsmann Brussels Liaison Office as Manager Government Relations. In 2018, he was a member of the EU High-Level Expert Group on disinformation. In 2016, he became Head of the Brussels Liaison office and as of 2018 he was Senior Vice President Government Relations (until February 2020). Before joining Bertelsmann he was senior legal counsel for Europe for IFPI (International Federation of the Phonographic Industry). Prior roles included Director of Legal and Business Affairs of Pias Entertainment group as well as Head of Legal and Business Affairs for eastwest records Germany (Warner music group).
Bart Becks, Senior Fellow (LinkedIn Profile): Bart Becks is Executive Chairman of EURACTIV Media Network and founder of angel.me, the platform to finance and stimulate creativity and entrepreneurs. Previously, he was CEO of Belgacom Skynet. Additionally, Bart was involved as investor, advisor or entrepreneur at various startups, such as Showpad, Storify, Mobile Vikings, Netlog, and others. He was also the Chairman of Belgium based research and incubation center iMinds.
Pedro Ortun, Senior Fellow (LinkedIn Profile): Industrial engineer, specialised in Chemistry and in Industrial Organisation, with a Doctorate in Business Administration. He was Director in charge of Tourism, Textile and Fashion Industries and of the ICT and Key Enabling Technologies at DG Enterprise and Industry (European Commission).

We offer paid internship opportunities to young professionals in Brussels. Since its creation, Europe’s MediaLab (Fondation EURACTIV) has supported training of over 90 recent graduates, who have found their work placement a great enhancement to their professional careers.
The internships last between a minimum of 6 months and a maximum of 12 months. Starting dates very throughout the year – all positions are available on the EURACTIV jobsite.
