A typical Brussels ‘maison de maître’ (townhouse), close to the EU area, is becoming available. It already hosted a Ukrainian journalist refugee – now correspondent – and previously several young English-French people. After some renovation it will be transformed into a residence hosting in coliving style:
- Six correspondents – ‘résident fellows’ – selected to stay 6 months in rotation;
- Workshops and network;
The ‘résident fellows’ will be welcome rent free.
In 3 years we anticipate to support tripling the number of Eastern European accredited correspondents in Brussels.

Europe’s MediaLab is seeking financial help to cover their living expenses, their utilities, the events and the management.
We recently applied to the Commission’s European Media Hubs – 2023 call, presenting “CHESS: Crosslingual Hubs for East-west coworking and Stars4Media Support”. However, regardless of the evaluation of our project proposal, Europe’s MediaLab is fully committed to establish this coliving infrastructure in Brussels.
- The application process has not been opened yet (target of start date: Summer 2024);
- Enquiries welcome to help co-fund expenses and if possible living allowances.
